Recent Life Update

My cousin just got his student visa to start doing his ESL study at CPP with me

hopefully he would find US fun and challenging to live and study

planning a road trip to San Francisco, it would be fun; And I just got the job offer to work as a GTA (graduate teaching associate) at Cal Poly Pomona. wowo yeah yeah yeah, but I gotta teach Math 12 this fall (it's like elementary algebra !!!!) :(

Las Vegas Revisited

Went to Las Vegas for three days and two nights, spent around 7 hours driving totally. It was fun, and also hot. went to the pure night club and another club, whose name I just forgot. also watched the blue man show, very very very exciting and inspiring. too hot even late at midnght. and ate the buffet at ballergio, got some itallian food at venatian. and tried the panda express in Vegas >.< I know that was lame. hehe will upload some pictures later :)

No more jumping ship

darn not sure when and if I will get the GTA from cal poly pomona. I've just decided to stay and get my freaking master degree first. and I just considered a switch from pure math to applied math. the only problem left is that I will need to take mat 580, mat 508 , mat 509 , mat 540 and mat 570 in order to finish the course requirement. should've stayed in the mat 546 class, so that I don't need to take 509 and 540 at the same time >.< not that busy if you work in some research university. so I consider this as a warm up for my future doctoral study. fight on (sorrry :P didn't mean to borrow it from other school, I just can't make the sound a crazed hourse usually makes). have to also take mat 401 to take mat 402 and mat 508. so the rest would be taking some statistic and some pure math courses.. ok I'm all set for the whole year. oh oh oh I forgot freaking mat 691 and mat 696, since I gotta write a thesis. Frankly I'm only one class (mat 528 the complex analysis) away from finishing the pure math in cal poly. however since my inability of finding a suitable thesis advisor (and I don't wanna take the exit examination since a thesis really looks great on the resume for applying to doctoral school) so I force myself a switch so that I will write and actually write a thesis. oh >.< Chairman Mao, wish me luck....

Bourne Ultimatum

The last one of the Bourne trilogy: Bourne Ultimatum, just came on the theatres today. And thanks Winnie, I finally had the chance to see the movie right away. Got the ticket for the show at 12:15am on Aug. 4th, and I really enjoyed the movie. thinking about getting the books and rent the bourne identity later on :)
