    Freaking Computer....

my crapy and old computer broke down a few days ago when I  was trying to figure out how to shop at this ebay @ china.  the harddrive was totally burnt off, and then I needed an replacement.... stole one from my aunt's computer.. and now I thikn I just broke the only memory stick on board, after like 7 times of trial to reinstall the system, either the Cd-rom wouldn't read the installation disk or.... the whole process just failed at the very last step... now I  had to bring this freaking disembled comp to my deskmate's house and have him fix it up for me.. or I  will have to buy a new stick of memory (hopefully I didn't burn the motherboard)... and my mom eventually gave up her persistent procession of my laptop and let me at least write something in my blog, and ... oh David, David, please forgive me, I failed you.. I couldn't finish the task you gave me.. so now.. please let me know .. if  I need to purchase it again? or what?... drop me some lines, dude.. or I will ignore your previous request :p

    F1 visa, I-20, and DHS

/sigh, /shrug, why students from Hong Kong Taiwan and have their F1 visa with a period of 5 years validity... and we students from china, mainland, who are supposed to be more capable.. more competitive.. and more diligent and studious, are only offered with this one year long visa.. and before that we were stuck with a 6 month long visa with only double entry... heard that the US government is negociating with the Chinese government for the possibility of issuing chinese students a type of F1 visa of 4.5 years validity, hopefully I will have chance to try that visa out in the near future..

Darn, Can't Listen to American Junkie Anymore

Due to listening issue, they no longer allow live radio stream from outside of United States; thus, from now on I can no more listen to z100.com(the hottest new york station, for that I have to reserve my right of futher confirmation) .. so I went online and did a lil search for online radio station, and found two hottest ones, one the chinese international radio station, AM 1008 (english service), and the other, voice of america (the front line anti Chinese, and Americanization spreader..)hehe... I can't explain why the heck I like american junie that much :p probably because I'm a junk myself

btw, 61 years ago, on this same day, Aug. 15th in 1945, Japan finally surrendered after 8 years of crazy invasion into the eastern and southeastern Asia, especially, China and Korea....

Review: Call to Visa Information Service

This Visa Information Service for the US Embassy and Consulates in China was created to better serve the need of booking appointments both immigration and non immigration for visa application in the US embassy and constulates through out China.  It unified the visa info. service centers from beijing, shanghai, chengdu, shenyang, and guangzhou (there might be one more city). Recalling from the good old days, like before 2003 (or 2004), I had to call that visa service department at the guangzhou consulate directly for my visa appointment.  It was pain in the as* to call them....I'm not sure how many out there still remember such soffucating and suffering moment of wanting the call to get through (it once took me 2 hours to just get it through to the visa representative, and I woke up at 8am to make that call)...and you were only allowed 5 minutes or so to tell them all the necessary info. for your apointment, usually a female receptionist picking up your call.  under such stressed, and depressed moment, one could never be so sure of making a perfect communication with them... (I'm not trying to be offensive... but those female, ya, lovely, receptionists, never impress you as females; rather, they treat you like >.> you owe them a husband like Bill Gates)  I remember once they got my passport number wrong, off just by one digit..... and .. since you won't have any receipts back confirming the correctness of the info. you give them... I was noticed by such mistake till the last moment when I walked past the second security gate.. lol... they drove me out saying that there's no match (in fact, only the last digit was missing) between the record they had and the number on my passport... and I was like, what the heck? I repeated the number twice to the receptionist.. lol.. and by that time, I had my return trip ticket scheduled just 5 days after the day when I went for my visa renewal....glad it was finally solved.. after I made at least 2 dozen calls to the consulate again...

ok ok.. let's forget about this painful past with tons of tears.. instead let's talk about the call I made this afternoon to this Visa Information Service...wow what a freshing call.. lol the guy who picked up my call was nice, considerate and patient.. lol repeating my information at least three times for my approval, and .. got my apointment date scheduled as early as possible. wow wow.. I love that guy.. muhahaha... the first ever time I met a male receptionist... from that center, and he treated me so darn well.. muhahaha... lol  think I'm actiing a bit exaggeratedly... hehe...or.. I might have a great potential of being .. homo?..hehe.. Hail, Homosexual :P
