6/27/2006 The World Cup: Stage2The round for the 1/8 final of the world cup is approaching the end. the last game is being played this early morning, as France is trying to prove its 30 years and 198 days old team will beat the Spansih young and brutual matadors. these two teams have a confronting history of 89 years....darn.. lol... France Beat Spain!!!... what a surprise!!!.. lol .. now.. Germany will face Argentia, Italy Vs. Ukraine, England Vs. Portugal, France Vs. Brazil..
hopefully Brazil will stop France, then defeat England :P (I'm guessing Portugal will do that before Brazil). not sure about the one between Germany and Argentia :)
Well Well Well Well, Germany stopped Argentia, and as expected Itally kicked Ukraine home, so did Portugal to England, to our greatest surprise Brazil was stopped again by the French team, some of them members were from the 1998 final :p, what a coincidence. As the game advanced further, Germany couldn't finish their dream of a fourth world champion, instead Itally sent them home earlier. And France again made past the siege of Portual and gave Zidane another chance to perfectly end his national career. Itally won its fourth champion with such disputing, most of us still thiink materazzi's too personal greeting to zidane's family had enraged zidane and caused such surprising end of his final show in the world cup final....anyway. the world cup was over .. and now back to my normal schedule and going to bed as early as possible :P I'm a good kid..
and I got my new passport.. it looks better implemented and encrypted than my old one..
6/22/2006 Report from the battle front: boring lifeI've been watching the world cup for several days. there were a few of them played real good. however I have to stay home, because my digestive system is ruined :P since I was back. moreover, my mom is complaining about me spending too much time online.. and going out too often... and will probably abandon the possibility of my trip to beijing or shanghai... guess it's gonna be another boring summer vacation >.> grr.. have to go to bathroom now...guess she will never understand me.. or I will never understand her.. either way. there's dead lock between us. everytime she tries to blaim me, she can come up with those unrelated reasons from no where ( you know I'm a math major) .. that's why I can barely stand her complaining...
sometimes I envy my dad, because he just got out of this troulbe not long ago, and leaving me to face this alone for ever and ever and ever..... shhhh. gotta go to bed. otherwise once my mom wakes up . its gonna be another disaster to my ears.. 6/19/2006 Home, Sweet Home: shenzhenI had been looking forward to get back home for quite a while. And I finally made my way through tons of trouble and landed myself safely in shenzhen. However just two days later, a suprising illness stroke me and forced me lie in bed for 3 more days, and lived on vegi soup during that time. I had had so much fun in LA, finding someone to take care of my kitties for this summer, and drove up to some peak with David, I'd rather say I didn't drive, I rided.. I enjoyed the ride as long as I didn't keep throwing up after rapid turnings, guess I surely have this motning sickness in my nerve system.
and these days, I've been watching the world cup laely, giving me some excuse to stay up late; beside I didn't have Interne till China Telecom came in and get it installed for me today (Monday , 6/19). I got to spend sometime learning how to fix up the router so that I can have a small wireless network at home. It's a bit different from the DSL I used to have in US, since it always keeps you online. In china, however, ADSL does have plans to offer limited hours monthly, so users have this virtual dialup application to get connected to Internet. And this router thing will actually always automatically signs one in and keep one online for ever. good to learn some more technical stuff. haven't touched computer for a long time. Now that I have my laptop connect to the router through this wireless adapter from linksys. I will be having more chance to stay up late online playing wow
