3/31/2006 Los Angeles and Las Vegas, reviewWell somehow, I went back to LA again. But this time, besides of spending lonely hours in my motel in LA, I went to Las Vegas with David, Edith and her boy(space)friend Xinren. Spent a night at Aladin. Aladin does have good buffet, and there's a starbucks at the groundfloor where I bought my green tea frappucino :) a good drink it is :) had lunch with David's family on the other day in Luxor(a pyramid like hotel). I don't wanna comment that much on the buffet at Luxor, because I don't frankly like it. the only think I can remember is the seafood salad (with some shrimps, crabs and such). the buffet at Aladin is better(not the best I think), there you can have more categories of food to choose from, varying from American(nice steak), Middle East, itallian, seafood, mexican(didn't dare to try) and dessert. they have good salad bar too :) the room in Aladin is pretty roomy and the bed felt so nice..haha although I spent the whole night sleeping in there myself :P I still love it. the casino at Aladin is not that big, where you can play slot, blackjack, and some other games. we had a talk about how to play blackjack well back in the hotel room once, and wo liao came over at around 4 in the morning, he was talking kinda fast and being hyper while all 3 of us almost fell into emeral dreams...hehe. Las Vegas looks gorgeous at night, with enomours lights and pretty girls, and sexy-girls-to-you-room flyers and bruchures..hehe night clubs don't open till thursday. thus we couldn't get in anyone.it's filled with tons of hotels and such.. anyway it looks prettier than the one in CSI and it looks eviler too :P
back in Los Angeles, I found out more restaurants with delicious food especially with original favor from different places in China. that's gonna stay in my lil brain... will let you know when you ask me :P 3/27/2006 Quotes: V for VendettaHere are some memorable quotes from Vendetta, not a bad movie at all. didn't expected it lasted for more than 2 hours :p....
Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. There is no such thing as coincidence, just the illusion of coincidence itself. Voil! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis--vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V. enjoy.. there are some more good movies coming after May....looking forward to them 3/23/2006 Where Was My Car?!!!I asked myself the same question about a year ago at the parking lot under my apartment building in Eugene when I found out my car mysteriously disappeared after I just walked away from it for like no longer than 10 minutes..... and it was a friday night.. at 8pm... people were supposed to have parties intead of scouting around for parking violation. that was freaking scary when you suddenly realized how bad the crimminal rate was in US.... what should I have done if my car ever got stolen? ha ha.. dont' know...go freak? he he
ok, walked to the parking lot today and found out my car was missing on the spot. the first thing came into my mind is my car was towed!, then ran around like a total freaking trying to find the phone number for the towing company, couldn't find it.. glad that I asked people and they told me the number (guess they got their cars towed once? ) it was hidden so well.. that without certain personal experience i highly doubt you'd be able to spot it easily. anyway the truck driver was kindly enough to pick me up at my place and took me to the towing lot to pick up my car, 240 bucks. what a 'fun" experience.. /sigh ...
never never . let it happen again 3/20/2006 Marriage Incoming, Please Don't AggroHa ha.. one more of my classmates from senior high got married a few days ago....So far I've known 3 of my classmates married in recent years. ha ha.. and I knew one of my closed friends is planning a wedding in next year( hmm I kinda forgot exactly when; sorry , buddy). and one of my online friends is getting married this June, not Rindell though.. he he I kinda wish him to be able to find someone who can take care of him while not preventing him playing too much wow ... lol poor dude.. dumped his gf because of EQ.... suddenly... I feel everybody else around me is growing up except me still busy playing wow lol....and patching up parts where I screwed up in my life. not gonna talk about about marriage here, since it's such complicated subject and i'm not that good at. ha ha.... math is the only thing in my life that I can master without much trouble (or headache)... other than that.. games. probably ha ha... not saying marriage is a trouble, just can't put in too much trust in that yet (had some severely sucking experience with that)
wish them wonderful marriage :)
Best Wishes Ever to李新城(one of my roommates in senior high) 肖吟 (my classmate) and another one (oops I forgot her name).
BTW, my druid's now lvl. 50, ha ha ... my druid's sexy. wish I can marry her instead.. she always listen to me.. even dies for me.. lol ( I control her away :p)
Ok, back to review... struggling to survive my finals... 3/17/2006 Ming ReloadedGot myself a haircut today, finally got back to look like a human being, was being desperate like hell and playing wow like I have no life in this lil lovely world (not that lovely.. though) will probably upload a pic of my new look later on. went to bank to check my reward points on my credit card and found out I have like freaking 39000 points.. ha ha... I can get a free round trip ticket to LA by just redeeming 25000 of them... so tempting.. hmmw wonder which I should choose, an Apple Ipod 20 GB mp3 player? or a continental round trip ticket (upto 500 bucks) or .. a 2 nights/3 day San Diego Trip.. but darn being there just by myself is.. freaking lonely :P
what should I do?!?
3/10/2006 Snow, snow, it freaking snowed!!!muha ha ha ha ha :D, as a native southener, I've not gotten that many chances of closely in touch with snow till like 5 years ago. enjoyed the first snow in my life in Newberg, and finally know it's not that fun to walk on snow, and when it melts down...it's too troublesome :p however snow is still one of the favorite things I'd like to see, besides good movies (not Brokeback Mountain pls :P), comics, sleek cars, and math books and....(that'd be r rated, so not gonna state it out :P)
didn't expect that it would snow in this early Marh in Corvallis, when it didn't snow in Eugene/Newberg during Jan/Feb, it just won't snow at all :p guess I'm trapped in this center of valleys, we have more moisture and colder temperature to make it snow :0 anyway.. love it.. especially when I'm driving through the snow.. it feels so freaking good and unreal... ha ha....all of suddent this thought of wanting to totally isolate myself from the society comes into my mind so strong,, that I almost lost my motive of being a socialized person anymore....guess the power nature has possessed can always scare people, especialy lil kid like me
and everytime it snows, weird thing happend. the first time, I got into this freaking conversation with a christian saying that if I don't believe in God, I will go to hell....eventually (/sigh guess I'm evil enough to make Satan welcome me?) the second time, it was in eugene, and we went out (with my first love ya.. have to be honest :P) on a bus,,, this lil bus couldn't keep balance on the icy road, and kept sliding and swinging. ha ha. so so so so fun...and the third time... we were heading back up to Oregon from CA, this I-5 got shut down near the state boundary because of heavy snow, and we had to head back for like 80 miles to find a motel to spend the night... ha ha.. too many people didn't expect the snow would block the traffic that bad...this fouth time...my weird thought of being super lazy had almost kept me driving around Corvallis all night long.. ha ha.. so peaceful to see the whole town getting covered up in snow and everything's just white... white...ha ha...
bah, too late now, time to bed.. :) 3/9/2006 Normality test for your kittieshow to tell if your cat has a problem:
(ask yourself the following questions) 1. does your cat sleep 22 hours a day, and spend the other two hours in non-stop eating? 2. does your cat take frequent naps in annoying places, such as in the center of the dinner table, in the kitchen sink, or on top of your freshly- cleaned-off-hair (and favorite) bedspread? 3. is your cat selfish? conceited? arrogant? aloof? insensitive? 4. does he wake you up in the middle of the night and refuse to stop meowing until you accompany him to his food bowl to watch him eat? 5. does your cat tear down holiday decorations? does he destroy any stuffed toy or cat-sized household ornament which might be misconstrued as his competition? 6. does your cat perceive himself to be sole owner of all property? does he often show disdain for your taste, or act as if you are an embarrassment to him? if you answered "yes" to most of these questions . . Relax, your cat is normal...
Lol, my kitties are too normal :P |
